What is a Japanese Head Spa?
A Japanese Head Spa is a deeply relaxing scalp and hair ritual that goes far beyond a traditional salon shampoo.
Your experience combines a personalised consultation with specialist scalp cleansing, massage, conditioning and relaxation techniques.
Depending on your chosen experience, it may also include scalp exfoliation, steam and our cascading water halo.
Every element is tailored around your hair, scalp, comfort and personal preferences.
Our Head Spa is a cosmetic hair, scalp and wellbeing experience.
It is not a medical treatment or a substitute for advice from a GP, dermatologist or trichologist.

1. Your welcome and consultation
We begin with a conversation about your hair, scalp, lifestyle and any concerns you would like us to be aware of.
We will also ask about your preferred massage pressure, fragrance sensitivities and whether you would enjoy conversation or a peaceful, quiet experience.
2. Personalised scalp and hair assessment
Your Head Spa expert will assess your scalp and hair so that the products and techniques used can be tailored to you.
Add “using our scalp camera” only if you genuinely offer camera analysis.
3. A tailored cleanse
Your scalp and hair are gently cleansed to remove everyday product, oil and environmental build-up.
If you use an exfoliating treatment, name it here and explain that it will only be used when suitable.
4. Soothing scalp massage
Relax into a slow, comforting massage adapted to your preferred pressure.
Guests should know that they can ask for lighter pressure, avoid a particular area or stop the massage at any time.
5. The water ritual
Allow the gentle flow of warm water from our Head Spa halo to create a calming, cocoon-like experience.
Add steam, aromatherapy or eye masks here only when they form part of the service.
6. Nourishment and your chosen finish
We complete your ritual with a carefully selected conditioning treatment before finishing your hair in the way you have booked.

Absolutely. This is your time. Tell us at the beginning of your appointment or add a note when booking, and we will keep the conversation to a minimum wherever possible.

Can the Head Spa treat dandruff, psoriasis or hair loss?
No. Our Head Spa is a cosmetic hair, scalp and relaxation service and does not diagnose or treat medical scalp conditions or hair loss.
Please speak to a GP, dermatologist or qualified trichologist about sudden hair loss, severe inflammation, pain or persistent scalp symptoms. We can then advise whether a future Head Spa would be suitable
